Before You Buy
Check stall size against your horses’ height and length, and confirm your truck and hitch are rated for the trailer loaded with horses and tack. Look closely at flooring, ventilation, and any living or dressing quarters before you buy.
Care and Maintenance
Check tire pressure and lug nut torque before each trip, test the lights and brakes, and keep wheel bearings greased on the schedule the manufacturer recommends. Washing off road salt and mud and inspecting the coupler, safety chains, and wiring regularly will keep the trailer road-ready. Clean and dry the floor after each haul and inspect mats and floorboards for wear.
